The Rosebank Killarney Gazette were at the Archers of Zoolake (AZL) archery range in March to do a feature piece on our very own AZL member Olufemi “Femi” Oyeka and his ambitious goal to raise funds for the Zoo Lake Park.
In short, Femi is raising funds through his archery achievements by taking pledges for his scores at archery competitions.
The article goes on to elaborate that community members can pledge an amount of money which will be donated to upliftment projects at Zoo Lake if Olufemi achieves either a top three finish; a gold, silver or bronze medal, any number of bullseyes or a total competition score of more than 230 in these events.
The proceeds go to the Zoo Lake Users Committee to put towards projects, such as cleaning up the park, which is close to Femi’s heart.
