Unfortunately, we have some bitter/sweet news to share with our archery community.
The challenges of this year have shifted many perspectives and forced many to make big life decisions. This is no different for Charni and she has made a hard but exciting decision for her career. As some of you may know Charni is not only a very accomplished archery coach but she is also a brilliant Pilates instructor. From next year she will be focusing entirely on her Pilates business (Unique Movement). Which means she will not be returning to her coaching role with us in January.
I am obviously very sad to see her go but I am extremely proud of her and excited for her future and I know the rest of the team shares this sentiment. She has worked extremely hard to get to where she is and I have no doubt she will continue to move from strength to strength in her future ventures. I know this decision was a difficult one with lots of emotions and guilt. Charni has been with Sentient Archery since it was officially formed in 2011 and has developed very strong bonds with her clients and students over the years. She has grown so much and has been an intrinsic part of the success of Sentient Archery & Archers of Zoolake over the last decade, and possibly more than ever, in the last few months as she stepped up to the plate to help us survive our biggest challenge to date.
Charni, we wish you well on your exciting new chapter and thank you for everything you have done for the company, the club and the archers over the years. Best of Luck!
Charni has assured me that she intends to remain an active member of the club and wishes to continue as a recreational archer. I am also quite sure she won’t be able to resist helping out from time to time, so we hope to still see plenty of her around at the range in future.
I’d like to take this opportunity to ask all of our clients to consider supporting her Pilates business. She really is very talented and shows a personal attention to detail in her teaching that is extremely rare. Here is a direct link to her website with all the links to her social media pages and contact details. Please follow & support her by following her on social media and seriously consider trying a session with her, you won’t be sorry.
Of course the timing is less than ideal for us, but it is 2020 so what more can we expect.. haha.
We are looking into all of our options to mitigate the impact this will have on the club and the archers. We will continue to update everyone as we make decisions about the way forward. We remain committed to bringing our community back to and beyond its former glory, just some hurdles to jump in the meantime.
As always, thank you for the support.
Dean & the rest of the team.
